Filters play a part in many aspects of our day-to-day lives. From switching on the kettle to the filters in your car’s fuel tank and in anti-flood airbricks- filters are everywhere. Filters can produced using many different techniques, so why should you plastic injection mould your filters? The different techniques for manufacturing filters include blow moulding, compression moulding, or plastic injection moulding. At BEC Group a filter mesh is loaded onto a metal core, the steel mould tool closes around it, and plastic is injected into the tool and around the filter mesh, encapsulating it in a plastic moulding to create a support frame for the filter.
