About BEC Group

As the original founder of the business, I’m immensely proud that 42 years on we are still innovating, stepping up to the challenges set by our clients and delivering high quality tooling and moulding services. We still have clients today who have remained loyal to BEC since the start, that’s testament to our hard work and unrivalled expertise. My role now is to ensure the continued success of the business, creating a legacy for the future however I’m an engineer at heart, so I’m naturally drawn to the toolroom and can’t help but get involved with the difficult projects sometimes!

I head up the technical side of BEC; quality assurance, production and keeping our machinery running as it should be. I think our wealth of experience and flexible approach makes us different from our competitors, its why customers come to us. Working with customers and seeing their ideas come to life has got to be the best bit though. Outside of work hours you’ll find me on the golf course!

Although I’ve not been with BEC for as many years as a number of my colleagues I feel so welcomed and quickly settled in to become part of the team. My main role is to manage accounts and payroll, although to add some variety and make use of my nurturing side I also hold HR support responsibilities. I enjoy varied activities outside of work: cycling, walking 3 dogs and all forms of anything crafty.

I’m often our customer’s first port of call. I liaise with our customers on a daily basis, sorting pricing and quoting, planning projects, managing new business and providing lead times. I see how our customers benefit from the fact we have everything under one roof, and because we love a challenge we accept trickier jobs. I know I’m lucky because the people I work with are great, we’re like one big happy family! Outside of work, I go to the gym, socialise with friends and have 2 huge dogs which are my life!

I manage the busy BEC toolroom, tool design and quoting new work that comes in. What makes BEC different? Our ability to produce full production tooling in prototype tooling lead times using all our in-house facilities. The diversity of work and constant challenges keeps things interesting. In my spare time I enjoy motorcycle trials, Enduro riding with my son and mountain biking through the New Forest.

I oversee the marketing, financial and business administration at BEC. I’m lucky to have such a varied role working across advertising, events, PR, our website, and everything in between. A big part of my job involves working with each department and our customers on different projects, there’s never a dull day! In my personal life I like to travel, go swimming at some of our lovely local beaches, or experiment with my pizza oven.

I started out my career as an aerospace engineer and welder many years ago. Since moving into production and quality management around 35 years ago, I’ve gained great experience in different industries on both the shopfloor, quality administration and auditing. I keep BEC Group’s quality management in line with all the latest requirements- no paperwork is too much for me!
I’m also a keen traveller and have racked up over twenty visits to the beautiful Greek island Crete.
