Mike’s Bike Ride for the British Heart Foundation

BEC would like to congratulate our Toolroom Manager Mike Tharme on completing Europe’s biggest charity mountain bike event on Saturday 4^th September! In order to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation Mike and two friends cycled a mammoth 100km off-road from London to Brighton.

Over the course of six hours, Mike tackled a variety of terrains and several large hills- one of which measured in at 700ft tall! After completing the race, he managed to make it into the toolroom on Monday morning but was a little saddle-sore to say the least.

Through sponsorship from family, friends and colleagues Mike has so far raised over £600 for the British Heart Foundation- a fantastic charity that is close to BEC’s heart after our founder Geoff’s heart attack last year.
