The BEC Team were delighted to exhibit at the Defence Procurement Research Technology Exportability (DPRTE) 2025 show at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre in March! Bringing together buyers and suppliers from across the defence industry, DPRTE is a valuable opportunity to connect across the supply chain.

After designing and producing the stand over several weeks prior to the show, the BEC team travelled to Farnborough for a (relatively) seamless setup. Over the course of the two days, we were able to meet several of our current customers in the space and interact with many prospective customers and key figures in the defence community. The show experienced over 5000 visitors over the two days.

Taking place over the 26th and 27th March, DPRTE included a full roster of speakers from across the Ministry of Defence, Babcock, Arcadis UK, Dstl to name a few. Topics of discussion included accessing funding opportunities, doing business with defence, digital procurement and many more.

A fully booked Meet the Buyer section allowed visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to discuss their products and services in one-on-one meetings with MOD procurement officials across the MOD, RAF, DIO and more.

As spending in the defence sector booms, and sourcing UK made components becomes crucial, companies such as BEC become an important part of the defence supply chain. Over the past five decades we have produced a variety of parts for products in the defence industry, including antenna, rugged electronics enclosures, radios and cable cleats. As with all our parts, the entirety of the tooling, moulding and assembly is all carried out in-house at our Hampshire facility.
